Horizons - Lancaster Country Day School

“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”  -William Butler Yeats

Horizons at Lancaster Country Day School is a public/private partnership offering a summer program that addresses the achievement and opportunity gaps of high-need children in the city of Lancaster. The heart of Horizons is an exemplary academic program that supports a cohort of students in reading, writing, math, and science, paired with swimming lessons, field trips, sports, and enrichment activities in music and the arts.  The same students return each summer through eighth grade and receive support and special Saturday programming all year long.
