Why Project Arts

LCDS offers its students an unparalleled arts curriculum that begins in preschool and continues through graduation. Our theater, music, dance and visual arts programs are essential for developing the critical thinking skills so important for success in today's world.
But we can accomplish only so much within the classroom.

With your help and participation in Projects Arts we can expand beyond those walls, and provide our students with an even more substantial arts education.

Project Arts is an arts booster club that brings our students more — and different — arts experiences in the form of visiting artists and speakers, a more dynamic and comprehensive field trip program, and resident artists who will work directly with children in the creative process. It helps provide our students, as well as our entire school community, with a more meaningful and complete arts experience.

The mission of Project Arts is to pursue excellence in all areas of LCDS's Visual and Performing Arts by supporting and enhancing existing programs, expanding educational opportunities beyond the classroom, and by building a sense of community through arts-oriented social and cultural events and volunteer opportunities.

Project Arts provides opportunities for our parents to hear speakers, take arts classes and become more connected to the arts in the broader Lancaster community through our Project Arts Partnerships with the Ware Center and the Fulton Theatre.
