Scholarships & Financial Aid

As students and their families consider post-high school education, the cost of attendance is a significant factor. In general, there are two documents that students applying for financial aid must complete: the FAFSA required by all colleges and the CSS Profile required by some colleges. Students should also check to determine whether there are institutional forms that must be submitted. Questions about financial aid forms can be directed to the institution's financial aid office or the LCDS College Guidance Office.  Another resource is the Pennsylvania Student Aid Guide.

The internet is a wonderful source of information about scholarships. Some search engines worth consulting include the Big Future section of the College BoardCollegeNetFastwebScholarshipsScholarship Monkey, and Scholarship America. Lancaster County residents have a loan resource available in Lancaster Dollars for Higher Learning; this organization annually provides interest-free loans based on financial need.

In addition, the College Guidance Office regularly receives announcements about local scholarships. These announcements are shared in Upper School morning meetings and subsequently posted on College Guidance and Upper School bulletin boards. Please contact the College Guidance Office if you have questions about any of this information.
