  • Lower School | Library Media Specialist and Technology Coordinator

    Lancaster Country Day School is seeking a Lower School Library Media Specialist and Tech Coordinator. We believe that the Library should be a hub of school life, and that, above all else, the Library Media Specialist and Tech Coordinator should help to inspire and develop a passion for reading in our students.  The person in this role will also be responsible for the daily operation of the Lower School Library and its associated media resources, and will empower students and teachers to develop and use media literacy and technology skills to enhance the learning experience in preschool through grade 5. In coordination with Technology department staff, the Library Media Specialist & Tech Coordinator will ensure the alignment and progression of the student technology experience across Lower School and serve as an important resource for students, faculty, and parents in supporting and troubleshooting technology use.

    Lancaster Country Day School seeks an experienced music teacher for full-time employment starting in the 2023-24 School Year.  We are looking for an educator with a strong knowledge and ability to teach in all areas of music.   • Middle & Upper School | Computer Science/Math Teacher

    Lancaster Country Day School seeks an experienced computer science teacher to start in August 2024. Responsibilities may include teaching AP Computer Science Principles, AP Computer Science A, and math courses.  Courses will be assigned based on the experience and expertise of the new hire.  Experience with Robotics would be desirable. Successful candidates would be excited about the opportunity to grow and expand a program that could bring new course offerings in computer science and related fields.

  • Upper School | Humanities Teacher

    Lancaster Country Day School seeks an experienced humanities teacher for a full-time position starting in August 2024.  We look for an educator who can effectively teach in our three-year integrated Humanities curriculum, which studies essential texts within a broad cultural context that draws on history, art, philosophy, political theory, and film studies.   • Full-Time Custodian

    LCDS is seeking a full time custodian to provide school personnel, students, and the public with an environmentally safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to work and conduct school activities.  
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Maintaining the school building, facilities and equipment by ensuring regular cleaning and maintenance.
    • Performing custodial tasks including, but not limited to:
    • Cleaning offices and classrooms, including furniture and windows.
    • Mopping floors.
    • Cleaning the tops of student desks.
    • Collecting and putting out trash.
    • Cleaning the bathrooms.
     
    Requirements:
    • High School diploma with previous experience preferred.
    • Ability to operate standard custodial equipment.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions given in written or oral form.
    • Ability to ascertain which people may need immediate assistance and to act accordingly.

    Lancaster Country Day School seeks an experienced Weekend Maintenance Building Supervisor and Custodian.  This is a 40-hour per week, Wednesday through Sunday, position.   Hours Wednesday through Friday will be 3pm to 11pm.  Saturday and Sunday hours will be based on the School’s events calendar.
