Early Education
The goal of our Lower School Early Childhood Program is to provide a safe, stimulating environment where each child is encouraged to explore, discover, and learn at their own pace. Our Preschoolers, Junior Kindergarteners, and Kindergarteners are encircled in a warm, safe environment led by nurturing, professional teachers.
Our active classroom environment is comprised of engaging learning centers that allow a child choice of activities to explore individually or in small groups. These experiences are based on seasonal themes, children's interests, and learning goals of which art, language, math, music, science, and social studies are key components.
At LCDS, every young child is challenged to reach their full potential in an atmosphere that fosters social, physical, intellectual, and emotional development. Our goal is to strengthen a child's self-image and feelings of competence, while also instilling a life-long love of learning.
