College Counseling

Our College Counseling process is deeply personal and comprehensive, designed to transform an often-overwhelming journey into a structured path of discovery.

Because we believe the foundations for success are laid early, our College Counseling team begins engaging with students and parents during the Middle School years, in order to demystify the landscape of higher education. This early start ensures that families feel supported long before the first application is ever drafted.

As students progress through the Upper School, they benefit from direct, high-impact interactions with the broader academic world. This includes individual meetings with College Admissions Reps, organized by LCDS and held here on campus, as well as our signature college fair, hosting representatives from 60+ colleges and universities annually. These face-to-face encounters allow students to build genuine connections with Admissions Representatives and gain firsthand insights into various campus cultures and academic programs.

Our immersive approach ensures that every student receives the individualized attention necessary to identify their unique strengths and navigate the admissions process with confidence. By the time our Seniors graduate, they are prepared, self-assured individuals ready to thrive at the institutions that best fit their personal and professional aspirations.

College Rep Visits

During the fall, LCDS hosts a number of colleges and universities to give our students an opportunity to learn about the academic programs, scholarships, and unique aspects of a particular institution. This means that our students are often able to meet the college admission representative who will read their application in-person, putting a face to the name.

Information for College Representatives
We are excited to connect College Representatives with our students, and we look forward to welcoming the Reps to our campus. Our staff appreciates the time that admission officers take to meet with our students and strengthen our professional connections.
