Reach Your Creative Potential
At Lancaster Country Day School, creativity takes center stage. From Preschool through 12th grade, our students have countless opportunities to express themselves and to reach their creative potential. We celebrate and explore the arts through four disciplines: music, theater, visual arts, and dance.
All students – from Preschool through 8th grade – engage in general music and art classes, building a strong artistic foundation. In Middle School, they may also join band, orchestra, or chorus, or delve into electives like theater, animation, photography, and dance. In the Upper School, students have the freedom to explore all disciplines or specialize in a particular area of interest.
Beyond the classroom, students showcase their talent on and off campus through exhibitions and performances. At Lancaster Country Day School, we foster a vibrant arts community, nurturing creativity every step of the way.

Our 2025–26 Theatre Season: (S)heroes
This season, we’ll embark on a journey of bold storytelling, fierce imagination, and unapologetic power. Through our productions, we’ll ask: What makes someone a hero? Who gets to wear the cape, wield the sword, or hold the mic? We’ll explore how gender, identity, and expectation shape our definitions of heroism—onstage and off—and invite our community to rethink what bravery looks like through a critical lens. Whether in fantastical battles, technicolor dreams, or personal truths, our stories this year honor those who rise, speak, fight, and feel.
The 2025–2026 season is titled (S)heroes, reflecting both a celebration and a critique of stories we’ve inherited and those we’ve yet to tell. Each production asks us to look at familiar narratives in new ways—through grief and imagination, longing and courage, and the everyday resistance of living authentically. We invite you to join us for a season that promises laughter, wonder, catharsis, and, above all, transformation.
