Communications Sent

Per the announcement by Governor Wolf, K-12 Pennsylvania schools will be closed for 10 business days effective Monday, March 16. Lancaster Country Day will transition to remote learning effective Tuesday, March 17 when students were originally scheduled to return to classes following spring break.

At this time, our plan is to reopen campus for normal operations on Tuesday, April 14. Should this change, we will update the community immediately.

Below are the communications that have been sent out to LCDS parents, faculty and staff. We will continue to add any additional communications relating to the Coronavirus COVID-19.

  • General health practices (from PA Department of Health)

    • Continue to practice effective hand washing techniques
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
    • Avoid contact with people who are sick
    • Stay home at the first sign of any symptoms of illness
    • Contact your physician if you have question/concerns regarding your personal health history and implications of Coronavirus COVID-19
    • Remain calm and reassuring

    In this time of uncertainty, it is very important that parents remain calm and reassuring for their children. Please consider using the Helpful Resources below to help discuss the Coronavirus in an appropriate manner with your children.
