For All New and Current Music Students
Private lessons are offered for a fee on piano, violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French Horn, baritone, drums, voice and guitar. Lessons will be offered online if students cannot be on campus. Fees for private lessons range from approximately $26-$34 per ½ hour lesson and teachers make their own scheduling and payment arrangements with students and their parents. The age a student may begin depends on the instrument (see Applied Music Faculty). Group lessons in 4th and 5th grade and sectional rehearsals in the Middle School for orchestral and band instruments are offered at no extra charge.
Information about Lower School group lessons and Middle School sectional rehearsals will be given to parents during the first weeks of school.
Private Music Lesson Fee
There is an annual fee of $10 for each student enrolled in private lessons. This fee helps defray the cost of purchasing and care of the school instruments used in our private lesson program.
Recitals
Students studying an instrument will be given an opportunity to perform at recitals during the school year.
Instruments
Students must have an instrument available for daily practice at home. Students may rent orchestral and band instruments from local music stores. Information will be given to students at the beginning of the school year.
