Our Early Education program is designed to nurture 3 to 5-year-olds in a safe, stimulating environment. We foster social, physical, and intellectual growth through immersive learning centers and active classrooms. Students engage in core academics, art, music, and physical education, alongside meaningful play that encourages exploration and builds confidence with supportive teachers and classmates.

Journey from Kindergarten to 5th grade in our Lower School, guided by a warm faculty who embrace the Responsive Classroom approach. Our core curriculum – including reading, math, writing, science, and social studies – is enriched by the study of art, music, physical education, Spanish, and Mandarin (starting in Gr. 5). We provide the kind of individualized instruction that helps a child develop their creativity, character, and essential life skills.

The LCDS Middle School fosters significant growth through an enriching and challenging curriculum. Students develop vital skills and habits that set them up for future success in the Upper School – and beyond. Key components of our curriculum include: a comprehensive advisory program, rigorous academics, and abundant extracurricular opportunities (such as robotics, theater, and athletics), and overnight field trips for every grade level.

In our Upper School, students are challenged to think critically and engage with the world around them. Throughout our program, they are mathematicians, scientists, historians, and linguists. We encourage a global perspective via thoughtful language and cultural studies. Beyond our wide-range of challenging courses, a highlight of our Upper School is our comprehensive college counseling program. Our dedicated College Counselors partner directly with every LCDS families to find and apply to the colleges and universities that best align with each student's unique talents and goals.
