While here, you will meet with the Director of Admission and tour the campus with one of our experienced student ambassadors. A student visit to our campus can also be scheduled. This visit provides your child the opportunity to experience classes, their peers, and the dedication and commitment of our teachers.

Step 3 - The student visit
The student visit is a required step in the admission process. This visit is the best way for your child to experience a day in the life at Lancaster Country Day School.
For Middle and Upper School, a current student will welcome your son or daughter to campus and invite him or her to accompany the student through their typical school day. Your child will sit in on classes and meet the student’s classmates and teachers.
Students applying to grades 1-5 will visit the classroom and be given a “buddy” for the day.
Kindergarten applicants will visit our kindergarten classroom for a half day.
JK and Preschool applicants will have a short visit with our early education teachers.
Step 4 - Student testing
Testing requirements vary depending on a student's grade level and application profile. Our admission team will work with each family to determine appropriate testing needs.
Step 5 - Current school information
Teacher recommendations, along with report cards and transcripts, are valuable tools that help our admission committee learn a little more about your student’s academic history and accomplishments.
Students applying for grades K-5 will be assessed during their visit.
Students applying for grades 6-12 will be asked to show standardized test scores and complete a writing sample.
Step 6 - Committee review
An academic committee reviews each application and parents will be notified in writing regarding acceptance.
