The MS Summer Reading Challenge is back and better than ever this year, thanks to our librarian, Ms. Eden Parks.
Please check out the books to choose from and the instructions here and encourage your child to participate!
In addition to reading for the fun of it, students can earn house points by participating, and if 75%+ of the MS participates, a special celebration will follow in September!
During the school year, all 7th and 8th grade students will complete a Science Fair Project with the potential to participate in an outside Science Fair – North Museum Science Fair or Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Sciences.
If a student is interested in doing a science fair project that will be in the PLANT SCIENCE category the student must complete work in the summer (unless they have access to a greenhouse or can show that they can successfully grow plants in winter). All summer work requires pre-approval.
Specifically, you will need a Problem/Hypothesis/Tentative Procedure/5 Sources and all Forms. (You will get credit for this work during the school year and will have more time to work on your research project in class) Please edit this template as a guide.
Those forms will need to be approved by our science department and then we will send it on to the North Museum for approval. We recommend the summer science fair class.
