Our Progress

We remain extremely grateful to those families who have made the Room to Grow campaign possible by giving so generously to the Room to Grow campaign. We are also thrilled by your generosity. We have just crossed the $9,000,000 mark for the Room to Grow campaign and stand at 82 percent of our goal. More than 75 families will be recognized for their support with dedicated spaces, but naming opportunities still remain.

As we celebrate your generosity and this success, we continue to reach into our community to seek the support that will help us exceed our $11M goal. Recently we received four- and five- figure gifts from alumni and parents.

Should you wish to learn more about the Room to Grow capital campaign, please call Chief Advancement Officer Shelby LaMar at 717-397-7240.

Donor Gives $1 Million to Match Gifts

For a limited time, every dollar of new and increased gifts given to support Room to Grow is being matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $1 million!

This unique opportunity is made possible by the new Hubbard Fund for Strategic Initiatives, which Marcia Hubbard '53’s generous bequest enabled us to establish. The challenge grant will double all new and increased gifts, whether they are designated to the Lower School improvements, science and arts facilities upgrades or the amazing addition to our physical education and athletics facilities.
• No gift is too big or too small to count
• Multiyear pledges up to a five-year period are welcome
• Increases to existing pledges are eligible

Invigorating Academics and Athletics
The new PE & Athletics Center will benefit sport, student wellness, and keep faith with a founding principle of the Country Day school movement: enrich students' education by furthering their physical well-being. Thanks to our generous donors, we enjoy renovations throughout the building and realize parts of the original athletics vision laid out in the Cornerstone Campaign nearly 30 years ago.
When students returned to Country Day in the fall of 2016, they discovered an air conditioned Lower School with new windows, flooring, lighting and electrical improvements, new lockers and paint, and a completely new entrance. The science and art wings also received air conditioning and electrical upgrades; and, in conjunction with other fundraising efforts, the theater got significant audio upgrades, new carpet and curtains.
With our PE & Athletics Center, we create new competitive opportunities for our athletes and invest in the health of our entire student body. In renovating our academic spaces, we reaffirm our commitment to provide students with a exceptional college preparatory education. We’re grateful to all the donors and supporters who are making that possible.
