Q: IS RE-APPLICATION REQUIRED EACH YEAR FOR A STUDENT WHO RECEIVES A JARVIS SCHOLARSHIP?

A: No.

Q: IS THERE ANY RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR A JARVIS SCHOLARSHIP?

A: No. Current LCDS students commute from homes in Lancaster, Berks, York, Dauphin, Chester, and Lebanon counties. For information about transportation and other aspects of the LCDS community, click here .

Q: CAN JARVIS SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS ALSO RECEIVE NEED-BASED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE?

A: Yes. Acceptance of a Jarvis Scholarship does not eliminate a family from consideration for need-based assistance. Because a Jarvis Scholarship is based on merit, the amount of a Jarvis Scholarship will not change in the event that need-based financial assistance is also awarded. Families from a broad range of incomes apply to LCDS. Beyond the merit-based program, LCDS provides more than $1.9 million in need-based financial aid to students each year. Any prospective family is encouraged to apply.
