Information for Current Students and Families

Q: WHICH LCDS STUDENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR A JARVIS AWARD?

A: Any student whose current grade level is eleventh grade (a student who will be a rising senior) is eligible.

Q: HOW MANY AWARDS WILL BE MADE?

A: Two scholarships will be awarded for the 2011/2012 academic year.

• The Jarvis Scholar Award will recognize a rising senior of great accomplishment who contributes most to the intellectual climate of the school.

• The Jarvis Citizen Award will recognize the rising senior who most positively contributes to the quality of student and campus life.

Q: WHAT IS THE AMOUNT OF EACH AWARD?

A: $3,000

Q: WHO SERVES ON THE EVALUATION COMMITTEE?

A: The recipients of these awards are selected by the Upper School faculty and administration.

Q: WHEN WILL AWARD WINNERS BE ANNOUNCED?

A: These awards will be presented at end of year ceremonies.
