A: Yes. Acceptance of a Community Scholarship does not eliminate a family from consideration for need-based assistance. Because a Community Scholarship is based on merit, the amount of a Community Scholarship will not change in the event that need-based financial assistance is also awarded. Families from a broad range of incomes apply to LCDS. Beyond the merit-based program, LCDS provides more than $1.9 million in need-based financial aid to students each year. Any prospective family is encouraged to apply.
