Open House

Open houses offer prospective parents the opportunity to meet students, faculty, the Head of School, and key administrators; hear about our academic and extracurricular programs; take a student-led tour of the school; and, through a student-faculty panel, see the warm, comfortable relationship between our teachers and students. By the end of the program we guarantee that you will understand why our families are so passionate about LCDS!

Admission Coffee/Admission Reception

Admission Coffees and Admission Receptions are informal events designed for families interested in learning more about Lancaster Country Day School. These are interactive opportunities that allow families to meet school leaders, hear about our educational philosophy, and talk directly with faculty, students and parents.

Off-Campus LCDS Events

The LCDS Admission Office frequently holds information sessions about our school and about our scholarship programs off-campus. Typically, off-campus LCDS events include a formal presentation and a Q&A session with the Director of Admission, division heads or the Head of School, and alumni or parents.

Admission Testing & Playgroups Summary

For Playgroup dates, see calendar above.

Preschool (age 3) and Jr. Kindergarten (age 4) Applicants
Attend a Saturday playgroup with other applicants.

Kindergarten Applicants
Attend a Saturday morning playgroup session with other applicants. In addition, at a separate time, meet individually by appointment with a teacher or the Head of Lower School.

For Grade 1 - 12 Applicants
Participate in a Saturday morning standardized testing session administered at LCDS.

For Grade 6 - 12 Applicants
Interview with faculty and the head of their division.

All testing and playgroup sessions are scheduled by appointment. Please contact the admission office by phone or email.
